Forests250 is the forestry and natural resources’ outreach and education initiative to commemoration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, highlighting the role of forests in the nation’s history and future. Showcasing stories, events, and educational materials that connected and shaped communities, economies, and culture over 250 years. The Society of American Foresters work in collaboration with the U.S. Forest Service, National Forest Foundation, and Arbor Day Foundation to implement this initiative
